Move from ClickFunnels to Whop: Members, Courses and Payments

By MoveToWhopUpdated 11 min readPricing verified

MoveToWhop is independent and not affiliated with Whop, Inc. or any platform we cover. We may earn a referral commission from Whop when you create a Whop through our links. It never costs you anything, and it's how we keep migrations free. How we make money

Quick answer

You can leave ClickFunnels in stages. Since September 2026, ClickFunnels can embed Whop's checkout on funnel pages, so your pages keep selling while courses, community and billing move to Whop. Our free wizard rebuilds products, courses and community from your exports. Payments AI subscribers re-subscribe. Stripe subscribers move with Whop Migrations only if Stripe lists them as subscriptions. In our $10,000-a-month example, Whop's fees come to about $381 and ClickFunnels Launch with Stripe to $488.

What moves

ClickFunnels to Whop at a glance

This is what the free migration tool does for ClickFunnels today. Rows marked Guided or From your export need some input from you: a confirmation in the wizard or the file ClickFunnels gives you.

  • Products & pricing

    Moves

You confirm your products and prices in the wizard (prefilled where we can). We create matching Whop products and pricing plans through Whop's official API.

  • Courses

    Moves

Paste or import your course outline and we create the chapters and lessons in Whop Courses. Video files don't transfer automatically: re-upload them in Whop or embed them from YouTube or Loom.

  • Members

    From export

Upload the member export from ClickFunnels. We clean it and set up a hidden "Existing members" option on Whop: free claim links for one-time buyers, and for subscribers who can't move with Whop's Stripe migration, a plan with a free trial that lines up their first Whop charge with their next ClickFunnels renewal. Whop's API can't add members directly, so members claim access from the link you send.

  • Community

    Moves

We create Whop Forums and Chat with a pinned welcome post. Old posts and comments don't move, because Whop's API would post them as you, dated today.

  • Paying subscribers

    Depends

ClickFunnels bills recurring charges as Stripe invoices (Payments AI shows them as one-time payments), so Whop's Stripe migration may find no subscriptions to move. Check your Stripe dashboard for active subscriptions first; if there are none, customers re-subscribe on Whop with a trial that lines up their next charge.

Guided:
you confirm or paste it in the wizard, and we create it on Whop.
From your export:
imported from the export file ClickFunnels gives you.

Why ClickFunnels users are moving their members to Whop

ClickFunnels costs $97 a month on Launch, $197 on Scale and $297 on Optimize, or $81, $164 and $248 a month billed yearly. Dominate is sold yearly only, at $5,997. Automations, webhooks and API access start on Scale, and the Affiliate Center on Optimize. ClickFunnels takes no cut of your sales, so the other cost is your gateway.

On Stripe, that's 2.9% + 30¢ per US card charge, plus Stripe Invoicing at 0.4% (capped at $2 an invoice). ClickFunnels' help center says it creates a Stripe invoice for every subscription and payment-plan charge. New Stripe connections skip invoices on one-time orders by default. ClickFunnels' fee table lists Payments AI, its other processor option, at 2.9% + 30¢ plus 0.5% for billing, tax and invoicing.

The bigger change came in September 2026, when ClickFunnels documented a Whop Checkout app. It embeds Whop's checkout on your funnel pages, which means you no longer have to choose between rebuilding every funnel and staying put. This page covers both routes: keep your pages and move members and billing, or move everything.

Two routes: keep your pages, or move everything

Both routes put your members, courses and billing on Whop. The difference is where your sales pages live while you do it.

Route 1: keep ClickFunnels pages, sell and deliver through Whop

In ClickFunnels, open Apps, find Whop Checkout and click Connect Whop. You authorize ClickFunnels in Whop for live mode (and test mode if you want a sandbox), then name the business ClickFunnels creates in your Whop account. That connected business starts empty, and Whop allows only one ClickFunnels-connected business per account. Its Whop Checkout element can only sell plans from that business, so build your products there.

Next, add the Whop Checkout element to a funnel step and pick a plan for live and test mode. ClickFunnels warns that a checkout missing a plan for the funnel's current mode renders empty for buyers. After payment, the buyer continues to the next step of the funnel by default, or to a redirect you set.

Three things to know before you rely on it:

  • Whop purchases never update the funnel's sales and revenue stats. Page views and opt-ins still count.
  • The optional External Purchases app records Whop purchases as ClickFunnels orders and keeps them current through renewals, cancellations, refunds and disputes, so automations keep firing. It needs a webhook in your Whop dashboard subscribed to nine events.
  • You keep paying for ClickFunnels. In our fee math below, swapping Stripe for Whop's checkout on a ClickFunnels Launch plan saves only $1 to $50 a month. The value of this route is moving members and delivery to Whop without touching pages that convert.

Route 2: move everything to Whop

Rebuild your sales pages on your Whop store page, on a Whop website at a whop.site address (Whop's docs list starting from a blueprint, describing the site to its AI builder, or writing code), or in any page builder that links to Whop checkout links. Once members are across, cancel ClickFunnels. In our math this saves $1,176 to $1,764 a year against Launch.

What moves from ClickFunnels to Whop

Your contacts, orders and product list come from ClickFunnels' exports. Courses and community move as outlines you confirm in the wizard. Billing depends on the processor, and the support table on this page rates each part.

Contacts, orders and products

Contacts export from Customers, then Contacts: select everyone, open Bulk actions, choose Export, pick the fields (email, phone, LTV, custom fields and so on) and download the file. Orders export the same way from the Orders page, and you need the Owner or Admin role. Products have their own export under Products, then All Products. Run all three in one sitting.

Our member CSV converter merges the contacts and orders files into one de-duplicated, Whop-ready list in your browser, split into subscribers, one-time buyers, free members and cancellations. Nobody is enrolled behind their back: Whop only creates memberships at checkout, so each person claims access through a private link.

Products and prices

Each ClickFunnels product and price becomes a Whop product and plan: one-time, or recurring on the same interval, with free trials and setup fees where you used them. The wizard prefills what it can from your exports and creates everything through Whop's official API once you confirm it.

ClickFunnels payment plans run for a set number of installments. Decide whether to let them finish on ClickFunnels or close them out and give buyers free access on Whop.

Courses and community

We found no course export in ClickFunnels' help center, and its share links only copy funnels into another ClickFunnels workspace. Paste the outline of each course into the wizard and it becomes chapters and lessons in Whop Courses, with lesson text and YouTube or Loom embeds. ClickFunnels stores course videos under Workspace Settings, My Assets, Course Videos, and its help center shows copying each video's address one at a time. If you still have your original files, upload those instead.

For each ClickFunnels community, the wizard opens Whop Forums and a Chat channel and pins a welcome post. Existing threads can't come along, since the API would publish every old post as a new one from you.

Payments: Stripe, Payments AI or external

Sort your subscribers by processor before you choose how each group moves.

  • Payments AI. The cards sit with Payments AI, and ClickFunnels says existing Payments AI subscriptions stay there even if you switch your workspace to Stripe. These members re-subscribe on Whop, on a hidden plan whose free trial runs to their next ClickFunnels charge.
  • Stripe. Whop Migrations transfers card subscriptions that are active or in trial from your own Stripe account, renewal dates included. It can only move what Stripe lists as a subscription. ClickFunnels bills subscriptions through Stripe invoices, and Payments AI's help center says ClickFunnels subscriptions live inside ClickFunnels and show in Stripe as one-time payments. Open the Subscriptions page in your Stripe Dashboard: members listed there can move; anyone missing re-subscribes like a Payments AI member.
  • Stripe Link. ClickFunnels turns Link on by default, and Whop Migrations skips subscriptions paid with Link, ACH or SEPA.
  • External orders from other platforms are billed by that platform, so handle them at the source.

Our Stripe-to-Whop subscription guide walks through the Migrations screens.

How the switch works, step by step

Get Whop ready before anyone is asked to move, and leave ClickFunnels running until the last member has.

  1. Export contacts, orders and products, and gather your original course videos or copy each video address from My Assets.
  2. Sort subscribers into Payments AI, Stripe subscriptions you can see in Stripe, and everyone else.
  3. Pick your route. For Route 1, connect the Whop Checkout app first so its business exists before you build products.
  4. Clean the files with the converter, then sign in to the free migration wizard with Whop's official login. We never ask for your ClickFunnels password. Confirm your products, prices and trials, making sure they land in the connected business if you chose Route 1.
  5. Rebuild each course from its outline and set up Forums and Chat for your community.
  6. Run Whop Migrations for the subscriptions Stripe can see. Send re-subscribe links to everyone else and claim links to one-time buyers.
  7. Put Whop's checkout on your funnel steps (Route 1) or publish your new pages (Route 2), then update links in emails, ads and bios.
  8. Cancel each remaining ClickFunnels subscription before its next charge, withdraw any Payments AI balance, then cancel or pause ClickFunnels.

How to keep members and avoid double billing

ClickFunnels' help center warns that customer subscriptions keep charging after you cancel your account unless you cancel them first. So treat each member's ClickFunnels subscription as something you switch off yourself, after they've joined Whop and before their next charge.

Picture a member paying $39 a month through Payments AI, renewing on the 8th. On the 1st they receive a link to a hidden Whop plan with a free trial through the 8th, and they sign up that afternoon. You cancel their ClickFunnels subscription before the 8th, Whop bills $39 on the 8th, and the member sees one charge that month, from a new name.

Set each person's deadline a few days ahead of their charge date and send two reminders. Our templates for announcing a platform move have longer versions. A short one for ClickFunnels members:

Subject: [Program name] is moving to Whop. Here's your link

Hi [first name], your [program name] membership is moving to Whop on [date]. Follow this link and sign in with the email you used to join: [link].

Your rate stays at $[price] a month and your next payment stays on [next charge date]. Add your card on Whop today and you won't be charged until then. We'll stop your old subscription before that date, so nothing is charged twice. If you paid once for lifetime access, you don't pay again.

Any trouble, reply here and we'll fix it.

ClickFunnels vs Whop fees at your revenue

Every ClickFunnels plan costs more than Whop alone at the three levels below, and keeping ClickFunnels just for pages costs nearly the same as staying. The example uses a $49 monthly membership paid with US cards and ClickFunnels billed monthly on your own Stripe. Add-ons, payouts and currency conversion are left out.

Prices as of October 2026. Sources at the end of this page.

Sales a month ($49 members)Whop onlyClickFunnels Launch + StripeClickFunnels Scale + StripeLaunch pages + Whop checkout
$1,000 (about 20 charges)$38$136$236$135
$10,000 (about 204 charges)$381$488$588$478
$50,000 (about 1,020 charges)$1,906$2,053$2,153$2,003

How we worked it out: Whop is revenue × 3.2% (2.7% card processing plus 0.5% billing on renewals) plus $0.30 per charge. ClickFunnels is the plan price plus revenue × 3.3% (Stripe's 2.9% plus 0.4% Invoicing on every subscription charge) plus $0.30 per charge. The last column adds the $97 Launch plan to Whop's fees. Leaving ClickFunnels entirely saves $1,176, $1,284 and $1,764 a year against Launch, and yearly billing knocks $192 off Launch or $396 off Scale. On Payments AI, use 3.4% instead of 3.3%.

Not included: Whop's $0.07 Radar charge per transaction, and tax tools on either side (Stripe Tax or Whop Tax Service). Model your own prices and volume in the fee calculator for ClickFunnels and Whop, and see each Whop fee with sources.

Should you switch from ClickFunnels to Whop?

Move fully if ClickFunnels is mostly your checkout, course host and community. Keep your pages and move members (Route 1) if your funnels convert and you'd rather not rebuild them yet. Stay put if a forced re-subscribe would cost you more than the fees.

Switching makes sense when:

  • your subscriptions show up on Stripe's Subscriptions page, so Whop Migrations can carry them across with their dates;
  • you mostly sell memberships, courses or community access and want delivery and billing in one place;
  • the ClickFunnels plan fee is a large share of your monthly revenue.

Staying on ClickFunnels makes sense when:

  • most members pay through Payments AI, or Stripe doesn't list your subscriptions, and your audience is unlikely to add a card again;
  • you sell offers above $2,500 per checkout and can't wait for Whop to approve higher limits, which new accounts need, sometimes with a 60-day reserve;
  • you want your own Stripe account to stay the merchant of record and keep the card data portable, a trade-off our Whop vs Stripe breakdown covers;
  • you split-test checkout pages and need the revenue in ClickFunnels' funnel stats, which Whop purchases never update.

If you're still deciding, our list of ClickFunnels alternatives by yearly cost covers other platforms. If your checkout runs on SamCart or Kartra alongside ClickFunnels, the SamCart move and Kartra move explain those exports, and Kajabi users weighing the same question can read our Kajabi exit plan.

After the move: launch checklist

Go through every buyer step as a stranger would before you announce anything, and tick everything off before ClickFunnels closes.

  • Buy through the Whop checkout on a live funnel step (or a Whop link), then refund the order.
  • If you use External Purchases, confirm the test order appears in ClickFunnels and its automation fires.
  • Claim access with a second account and check every course, forum and chat it should open.
  • Compare a sample of re-subscribe trials against each member's ClickFunnels charge date.
  • Finish Whop's payout and identity steps, and apply for checkout links above $2,500 if you need them.
  • Leave room in your cash flow for a reserve while your Whop account builds history.
  • Withdraw your Payments AI balance and download any reports before your ClickFunnels subscription ends.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep my ClickFunnels funnels and sell through Whop?

Yes. ClickFunnels' Whop Checkout app, documented in September 2026, embeds Whop's checkout on funnel step pages so buyers pay without leaving your funnel. ClickFunnels creates a new connected business in your Whop account, and the element can only sell plans from that business, so build your products there. You keep paying for your ClickFunnels plan.

Will Whop Migrations move my ClickFunnels subscriptions?

Only the ones your Stripe account lists as subscriptions. ClickFunnels bills subscriptions and payment plans through Stripe invoices, and Payments AI's help center says ClickFunnels subscriptions are managed inside ClickFunnels, with Stripe showing one-time payments. Open the Subscriptions page in your Stripe Dashboard: members listed there can move, and everyone else re-subscribes on Whop.

Will ClickFunnels still track sales made through Whop's checkout?

Partly. ClickFunnels says Whop purchases never update a funnel's sales or revenue stats, though page views and opt-ins still count. Its optional External Purchases app turns Whop purchases into ClickFunnels orders and keeps them updated through renewals, cancellations, refunds and disputes, so automations still fire. Your Whop dashboard stays the record of every payment.

What happens to my funnels and courses if I cancel ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels says cancelling deactivates your funnels and removes access to the platform, so export and copy everything first. Pausing costs $17 a month and keeps your data stored, but suspends access for you and your customers. Customer subscriptions keep charging after you cancel unless you cancel them first, so end those before your own account.

Do I need ClickFunnels' API or the Scale plan to migrate?

No. ClickFunnels' API and webhooks start on the $197 Scale plan, but our wizard doesn't use them. It works from the contacts, orders and products exports you can run from your dashboard, with the Owner or Admin role needed for orders. You paste your course outline and community spaces into the wizard by hand.

What should I do about my Payments AI account before leaving?

Withdraw your balance before you cancel ClickFunnels, because ClickFunnels says you lose access to Payments AI once your subscription ends. Switching your workspace's default processor to Stripe doesn't move anyone: ClickFunnels says existing Payments AI subscriptions stay with Payments AI. Those members re-subscribe on Whop, with a trial that runs to their next charge date.
