Member CSV converter for Whop

Drop the member export from Skool, Kajabi, Stan, Teachable, Patreon, Gumroad or another platform. Get back a clean, de-duplicated list sorted into subscribers, one-time buyers, free and canceled members, with the trial each subscriber needs so their first Whop charge lands on their old renewal date. Free, no signup, and the file never leaves your browser.

Your member list never leaves your browser. The file is read on this device and is never uploaded to us.

How the converter works

Every platform names its columns differently, so the converter reads your export in five steps:

  1. Finds the columns. It matches headers like “Customer Email”, “Patron Status” or “Next Payment Date”, and confirms the email column by looking at its contents. You can change any match before you download.
  2. Cleans emails. It trims and lowercases them, pulls the address out of “Name <email>”, and drops rows without a valid one.
  3. Merges duplicates. When someone appears twice (several purchases, or contacts plus subscriptions), it keeps the most current record: an active subscription beats a canceled one, and billing details beat a bare contact.
  4. Sorts people into four segments, described below.
  5. Works out renewal dates and trial days for subscribers.

How trial days are calculated

Whop can't take over a card another platform holds, so most subscribers re-subscribe. A free trial on their claim link moves their first Whop charge to the day their old platform would have charged them:

suggested_trial_days = next renewal date − today   (0 to 1,095 days)

next renewal date =
the export's next billing or renewal date, if it has one
otherwise: last charge date + one billing interval
otherwise: join date + whole billing intervals, up to the first one after today

Monthly and yearly plans count calendar months. Past-due members get 0 days because their last payment failed, and trials are capped at 1,095 days. Examples, as of October 3, 2026:

In the exportNext renewalTrial
Monthly, last charged Sep 12, 2026Oct 12, 20269 days
Yearly, next payment date Jan 5, 2027Jan 5, 202794 days
Monthly, joined Jul 15, 2026, no billing datesOct 15, 202612 days (estimated)

The four segments

SegmentWhoWhat they get on Whop
SubscribersActive, trialing or past-due recurring paymentsA hidden plan at their current price, free until their next renewal. Platforms that bill through your own Stripe can use Whop's Stripe migration instead.
Paid once / lifetimeOne-time purchases and lifetime accessA hidden free plan, so they keep access without paying again.
Free membersNo payment on fileFree access to a free product, if you have one.
CanceledCanceled, expired, refunded or lapsedLeft out by default. They can buy again from your Whop store.

What's in the Whop-ready CSV

ColumnWhat it holds
email, name, first_nameOne row per email; first name for greetings.
segment, status, productSegment, the export's status, and their tier or offer.
amount, currency, billing_interval_daysWhat they pay and how often (30 = monthly).
next_billing_date, next_billing_sourceNext renewal on the old platform, and whether it came from the export or our estimate.
suggested_trial_daysDays from today until that renewal (subscribers only).
joined_atEarliest join or purchase date.
claim_linkFilled in by the migration tool with each member's Whop link.

Cells that a spreadsheet would run as a formula (starting with =, for example) are escaped, so the file is safe to open.

Your member list stays in your browser

The converter runs on this page. Your file is read on your device and the download is created locally: nothing is uploaded to us or anyone else, and this page doesn't save the list. If you continue into the migration tool, the list is kept in this browser's storage so it survives signing in to Whop, and you can remove it there.

Exports it understands

Any CSV or TSV with an email column works. The column matching is tuned for these exports:

  • Skool: the Members tab export, with price and tier when your group is paid (how to export it).
  • Kajabi: the contacts export plus the subscriptions export, which has the next payment date (how to export them).
  • Stan Store: the Income CSV, where repeat charges show who is subscribed.
  • Patreon: the Relationship Manager export. Gumroad: the sales export.
  • Teachable, Circle, Mighty Networks, Podia, Memberful, LaunchPass, InviteMember and more: member or transaction exports.

Excel files need saving as CSV first. Mighty Networks emails an XLSX file, so open it and save it as CSV.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import this CSV straight into Whop?

Not as a direct member import. Whop's API has no way to add members to a business, so members join through a claim link instead. Use the CSV with your email tool to send each person the right link. The free migration tool creates the hidden plans and fills in the claim_link column for every member.

Why are some members marked canceled?

Either the export says so (canceled, expired, former patron, refunded, or auto-renew off), or a subscriber in a transaction export hasn't been charged for over a billing cycle plus a week. Check the Canceled tab for anyone we got wrong.

My export has no renewal dates. What happens?

We estimate it from the last payment date, or from the join date by counting whole billing periods, and mark those rows estimated. With no dates at all the trial stays empty, and the migration tool lets you pick one trial length for everyone.

Does it work with Excel or Google Sheets files?

Yes, once they're saved as CSV (in Excel: Save As, CSV UTF-8; in Google Sheets: File, Download, CSV). Tab- and semicolon-separated files and UTF-16 exports work too.
