Whop Payouts: How to Withdraw, Payout Methods and KYC
Quick answer
To get paid on Whop, open Dashboard → Balances, set up Whop Payments, verify your identity with your details, bank account and ID, then withdraw at least $10. Sales become withdrawable in 1 to 4 business days. As of October 2026, next-day ACH costs $2.50 per payout, instant bank deposit 4% + $1, crypto or Venmo 5% + $1 and a wire $23. New or higher-risk accounts can have part of each sale held in reserve.

Whop payout methods, fees and speed
Whop pays out to a bank account, mobile wallet or crypto wallet in more than 200 countries. For US bank accounts, next-day ACH is the cheapest way out at a flat $2.50, and instant payouts cost 4% + $1. If you haven't made your first sale yet, start with our guide to selling on Whop and come back here once the money starts arriving.
Fees as of October 2026, from Whop's fee page and help docs. Sources at the end of this page.
| Payout method | Fee per payout | Speed | Cost to withdraw $1,000 | Cost to withdraw $5,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Next-day ACH (US bank) | $2.50 | Next business day, per its name | $2.50 | $2.50 |
| Instant bank deposit (RTP) | 4% + $1.00 | A few minutes | $41 | $201 |
| Crypto | 5% + $1.00 | Not stated in Whop's docs | $51 | $251 |
| Venmo (US only) | 5% + $1.00 | Not stated in Whop's docs | $51 | $251 |
| Bank wire | $23.00 | Not stated in Whop's docs | $23 | $23 |
| Local bank outside the US | Varies by country | Up to 5 business days | Varies | Varies |
A few rules sit behind that table:
- Whop's docs say standard payouts take up to 5 business days, and its troubleshooting page tells you to allow up to 10 business days after a withdrawal for Whop and your bank to finish.
- Instant payouts can pull out pending funds from payments that haven't fully settled. When a withdrawal needs a compliance review, the instant option doesn't appear at all.
- The minimum withdrawal is $10, where it applies.
- Creators outside the US need a bank account in their registered country's currency, and Whop converts payments into your Whop balance into that currency (PayPal or crypto sales routed to a linked PayPal or Coinbase Commerce account excepted).
- PayPal and Coinbase Commerce aren't payout methods for your Whop balance. If you connect them, sales paid by PayPal or crypto go straight to those accounts instead.
Every other Whop fee, from card processing to disputes, is in our line-by-line Whop fee breakdown.
Before you start
Two of the payout failures Whop lists trace back to details set at signup, so check these first:
- Your country is supported. Whop lists 25 sanctioned or restricted countries, including Russia, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela, plus six regions of Ukraine, where creators can't open an account or receive payouts.
- Your bank account is in the currency of the country you'll register.
- You have a government ID ready, plus company details if you sell as a business.
- Your store page explains what you sell and how you deliver it. "Unverifiable business" is one of Whop's listed suspension reasons, and its financing docs ask for a complete store page so Whop understands your offer.
- You've decided how much cash to leave in Whop. Refunds and disputes come out of your balance, and Whop's Seller Terms say you'll owe a negative balance if they exceed it.
How to set up payouts and withdraw, step by step
These steps follow Whop's help docs as checked on October 3, 2026. Button names can shift, so look for the closest match if a label has changed.
Step 1: Set up Whop Payments
Go to Dashboard → Balances and select Set up Whop Payments, then choose your country. Whop pays you in the currency of that region and converts other currencies into it.
Common mistake: picking a country that doesn't match your bank account. A bank account outside your registered country's currency is the first failure reason on Whop's troubleshooting page.
Step 2: Verify your identity
Fill in your details, link your bank account and upload your ID. Whop's verification confirms your name, date of birth, country and address. Individuals go through Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, and a business goes through Know Your Business (KYB) checks.
You'll see the result as pending, under manual review, approved or rejected. Whop can also flag a verification as needing action when its payout provider wants more information.
Common mistake: selling for weeks before verifying. Whop lets you take orders first, but its account docs list incomplete KYC as a reason pending funds don't move.
Step 3: Add a payout method
Go to Dashboard → Balances → Payout methods and select Add payout method. Enter your bank details, or connect a mobile or crypto wallet through the flow Whop shows for your country.
Common mistake: a typo in the account number. Wrong bank details are the second failure reason Whop lists.
Step 4: Check what you can withdraw
Your balance has three parts. Available money can be withdrawn now. Pending money is still settling and shows an expected date, usually 1 to 4 business days after the sale. Reserved money is held back on purpose, and the Balances page shows each reserve's release date.
Step 5: Withdraw your balance
Go to Dashboard → Balances and select Withdraw, or open Profile → Balance and select Withdraw. Enter an amount or choose Max, pick a payout method and confirm. The minimum is $10 where it applies.
Common mistake: paying for speed out of habit. An instant payout of $5,000 costs $201, while next-day ACH costs $2.50.
Step 6: Turn on automatic withdrawals
In Dashboard → Balances, open the three-dot menu, choose Automatic withdrawals, set how often you want to be paid and the minimum balance to keep in Whop, then confirm. A minimum of a few hundred dollars gives refunds and dispute fees somewhere to come from, so they don't push your balance negative.
Step 7: Track the payout until it lands
Each withdrawal moves through four statuses on Whop's timeline:
- Requested: you've asked for the payout and it's waiting for approval.
- Processing or In Transit: the payment is on its way, which takes 1 to 5 business days.
- Completed: Whop has sent the money and your bank is processing it.
- Canceled: the payout failed, and Whop adds the amount back to your available balance.
If a completed payout hasn't reached your account after 5 business days, contact your bank with the Trace ID from the timeline, the payout date, the amount and the payer name, Whop.
How Whop's identity verification works
Whop checks who you are before it pays you, and its Seller Terms let it check again at any point while your account is open. Expect the first check at setup and occasional document requests after that.
- When it's required. Whop's account docs say "Complete verification to withdraw your earnings" and list that step as blocking payouts. An August 2026 Whop blog post on marketplace payments puts it the same way: KYC isn't required upfront, only once a seller is ready for a first payout.
- The $5,000 figure. A September 2026 Whop blog post about payouts for platforms says Whop's embeddable verification lets their users earn up to $5,000 before verifying. Whop's seller help docs don't publish any threshold as of October 3, 2026, so don't plan your launch around one.
- How long it takes. Whop's docs don't give a time. Its August 2026 blog post says automated KYC for individual sellers can run in minutes, while business checks usually take 1 to 5 business days.
- Later reviews. Whop's Payout Terms say payouts can be held while an account is under compliance, risk or identity review, and its account docs list an open information request as a reason pending funds don't move. Answer document requests the same day if you can.
Reserves, holds and suspensions
A reserve delays your money rather than charging a fee, and Whop says reserved funds release on their own, minus any refunds or disputes they're used to cover. Whop can place reserves on new accounts, so understand them before your first payout.
Whop's reserves page describes three kinds. A rolling reserve holds a share of each sale for a set period, such as 10% for 90 days. A fixed-amount reserve holds one sum until a single release date. A financing reserve comes from the buy-now-pay-later partner, and Whop holds 15% of every Splitit sale for 180 days. Whop's Seller Terms allow reserves of up to 100% of your funds for up to 180 days.
Besides new accounts with little sales history, Whop can place reserves on accounts with high refund or dispute rates, on sellers who deliver long after payment and on sudden changes in sales patterns. New accounts also can't create checkout links above $2,500 until Whop approves a higher limit, or until they accept a 60-day reserve. Accounts with elevated dispute rates can get extra payment controls, such as longer pending periods and a high-risk processing fee, which Whop says lift on their own as the account recovers.
A suspension is more serious. Whop holds a suspended account's balance for 90 days by default, can use it to refund buyers and doesn't guarantee its release. You have 30 days to appeal. Our honest Whop review collects seller reports of reserves and suspensions alongside Whop's replies.
Long holds aren't unique to Whop. Commas, formerly FanBasis, writes holds of up to 180 days into its terms too, as our Whop vs FanBasis comparison shows, so compare hold terms as well as fees.
Troubleshooting
Most payout problems come down to verification, currency or timing.
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| You can't withdraw at all | Identity verification isn't finished | Finish it under Dashboard → Balances. Whop's verify-identity step blocks withdrawals until it's done |
| Money is stuck in pending | Sales are still settling, KYC is incomplete, or Whop is waiting on documents | Check the expected dates in Balances, finish verification and answer any information request |
| Part of your balance is held | A reserve on a new or higher-risk account | Check its release date in Balances. Whop says it lowers or removes reserves as risk improves |
| A payout shows Canceled | The bank account isn't in your registered country's currency, or the details are wrong | Add a corrected account under Withdraw → Add new account, then withdraw again. The amount is back in your available balance |
| Completed, but nothing in your bank | Your bank is still processing it | Wait up to 5 business days, then give your bank the Trace ID, date, amount and payer name |
| No instant payout option | The withdrawal needs a compliance review | Use a standard payout, or wait for the review, which a Whop blog post says usually clears in under 30 minutes |
| Affiliate earnings won't withdraw | Whop waits 30 days after the referred purchase | Withdraw from Profile → Balance once the 30 days have passed |
| Your account is suspended | One of Whop's listed suspension reasons | Appeal within 30 days with evidence of what you sell and how you deliver it |
If none of these fit, Whop's support starts with an AI chat at whop.com/chats/new, which Whop says hands complex cases to staff who reply by email. You can also write to support@whop.com.
How to keep more of each payout
A flat $2.50 ACH payout is small next to card fees, but percentage-based payouts add up fast. These habits keep them down:
- Use next-day ACH for routine withdrawals and save instant payouts for real emergencies.
- Withdraw on a schedule. At $2.50 per ACH payout, weekly withdrawals cost about $11 a month, while daily ones cost about $55 over 22 business days.
- Make sure your bank account matches your registered country's currency, so payouts don't fail and wait to be retried.
- If you're in the US, check Whop Cards. Whop says a card spends your balance directly, including pending funds, with no extra fees. Consumer cards are open to residents of 31 states and business cards to companies in 41 states.
To see what reaches your balance in the first place, run your price and volume through the Whop fee calculator. Selling access to a Telegram group? Frequently asked questions
How long do Whop payouts take?
It depends on which clock you mean. Money from a sale becomes withdrawable in 1 to 4 business days, standard payouts take up to 5 business days, and Whop's troubleshooting page says to allow up to 10 business days after a withdrawal for Whop and your bank combined. Instant payouts arrive in minutes for 4% + $1, unless the withdrawal needs a compliance review.
Do I need to verify my identity to get paid on Whop?
Yes. You can take orders first, but Whop's verify-identity step blocks withdrawals until it's done, and it confirms your name, date of birth, country and address. Whop's seller docs don't publish a dollar threshold for it. A Whop blog post about its payout tools for platforms mentions $5,000, so verify before you launch rather than counting on any limit.
What's the cheapest way to withdraw money from Whop?
Next-day ACH to a US bank account, at a flat $2.50 per payout. Because the fee doesn't grow with the amount, a $5,000 withdrawal costs $2.50 by ACH against $201 by instant bank deposit and $251 by crypto or Venmo. Outside the US, local bank fees vary by country, and Whop's published wire fee is $23.
Can I withdraw my Whop balance to PayPal?
Not as a transfer. Whop's docs say PayPal only works for sales where the buyer paid with PayPal, and only if you've connected your PayPal account under Balances, then Additional payment methods. Crypto through Coinbase Commerce works the same way. Money already in your Whop balance goes out by bank, wire, crypto wallet or Venmo, at the payout fees above.
What happens to my money if Whop suspends my account?
Whop holds a suspended account's balance for 90 days by default, the usual chargeback window, and longer if a reserve was already in place. It can use the money to refund disputed or undelivered orders, and it doesn't guarantee a release. You have 30 days from the suspension notice to appeal, and a person on Whop's Trust and Safety team reviews each appeal.
